Tinkering with architecture and design in the great outdoors is our new favorite pass time as home renovation moves into the great outdoors. Think about porches, patios, pools, and ponds, Now expand your thinking into outdoor kitchens and living rooms. There's also vegetable gardens, flower gardens, water gardens and gazebos. The house seen above perfectly illustrates the concept of integrating the outdoors into a home. The house is renovated 1970's era rancher in Reston, Virginia and the homeowner wanted to take full advantage of the wooded site. Maybe a
backyard shed
like the one seen below is at the top of your list. Sheds can be used for gardening supplies, band practice - or a low-tech vacation home.

As long as you're out there you should plan on having a few meals so that means picking out the perfect grill. After dinner you may want to relax by the pool in your
outdoor living room.

Our love for the outdoors isn't going anywhere but up and a lot of our fun starts with a
deck.

Water is essential to life. It's also fun to look at and play in which can take you to thinking about adding some
water features.

Koi ponds have become hugely popular as people go crazy for those colorful carp.
Landscaping
also continues to evolve into more modern permutations.

But the best water feature imaginable would have to be one of theses babies. If you've ever pondered the notion of buying one of your very own, check out a short feature on the care and feeding of a
hot tub.

Whatever you like to do outside there's a whole slew of experts in the
architecture and design of exteriors
anxious to help you discover your own point of view.
